Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.dynamolabs.co.za, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Our apps have their own privacy policies, linked at the end.

We are the "responsible party" for the information described below.

2. What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our form:

your name and email address;
optionally your phone number and company name;
what you need (for example early access to an app, a website, a custom app), and optionally a budget range and timeline;
your message;
the page you were on and any campaign tags in the link you used (for example utm_source), so we know which page or app the enquiry came from.

When you email or phone us: whatever you choose to tell us.

Technical information: to limit spam, the form handler briefly uses your IP address to count how many times it has been used; we store only a one-way scrambled version of it, and delete it within 24 hours. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and maintenance.

3. What we do not do

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not currently set cookies.
Our fonts and images are served from our own site, not from third-party networks.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to your enquiry.
We do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

Links to other sites, such as Google Play, take you to services with their own privacy policies.

4. Why we use it

to reply to your enquiry and send you an automatic confirmation;
to provide a quote, add you to an app's testing group, or provide support, if you ask for that;
to keep a record of the enquiry, and to protect the site from abuse;
to meet legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting records if you become a client).

We rely on your consent (the tick-box on the form), on the steps needed to respond to what you asked for, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure business.

5. Who we share it with

Only the service providers that host this website and our email, who process the information on our behalf and are bound to protect it. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Our hosting and email are located in South Africa, so your information stays in the country.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for 12 months and then delete them (the saved record of the form is cleared automatically; matching emails are deleted from our mailboxes). If you become a client, we keep the records we are legally required to keep, for as long as the law requires.

7. How we protect it

enquiries are saved in a location that is not reachable from the public website;
the form has spam and abuse protection;
access is limited to the people who need it to reply to you.

No system is perfectly secure. If an incident affecting your information occurs, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to:

tell you whether we hold your personal information and give you a copy;
correct or update it;
delete it, or restrict how we use it;
stop using it for a purpose you object to, and withdraw your consent at any time.

Email privacy@dynamolabs.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).

9. Children

This website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their information through it. Apps made for children, such as Positive Buddy, are described in their own policies.
