Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 2026 · Last Updated: September 18, 2026

Trade Invoice is designed as a privacy-first, offline-first application. Your business and customer data remains on your device by default, and you maintain control over when and how it is shared.

Introduction

Trade Invoice ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is a product of DynamoLabs, a division of Dynatek (Pty) Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information when you use our application.

Information We Collect

Your business details: your name, business name, contact details, and banking details you choose to enter for quotes and invoices.

Your customers' details: the names, contact details, and addresses you enter for the customers and leads you manage in the app's CRM and sales pipeline.

Business records: quotes, invoices, stock items and quantities, and sales pipeline notes you create in the app.

How We Use Your Information

To generate quotes and invoices, track customers and deals through your sales pipeline, and help you keep tabs on stock. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles from it.

Your Role as Data Controller for Customer Data

When you enter your customers' details into Trade Invoice, you act as the data controller for that information under South African law, and DynamoLabs acts as a processor storing it on your behalf, on your own device. You're responsible for having a lawful basis to hold and use your customers' data — Trade Invoice simply gives you the tool to manage it.

Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in a local database on your device. Nothing is uploaded to DynamoLabs' own servers as part of normal use. If future versions add optional cloud backup or sync, this policy will be updated before that feature is enabled.

Data Sharing

Trade Invoice does not share your data with any third party. Quotes and invoices you choose to send (for example, by email or messaging app) are shared only because you initiated that action. We do not sell, trade, or share your data with advertisers, marketing companies, or data brokers.

Data Retention & Deletion

Data on your device is retained as long as the app is installed. You can delete individual customers, quotes, invoices, or stock items at any time, or clear everything by uninstalling the app.

Your Rights & Choices

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to object to certain processing.

If you're in the EU or another region with its own data protection regulation, you have equivalent rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and withdrawal of consent.

Children's Privacy

Trade Invoice is a business tool and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and will delete any such data if we become aware of it.

Third-Party Services

Trade Invoice does not currently integrate with any third-party service. If this changes — for example, optional cloud backup or payment integrations — this policy will be updated in advance.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a security breach affecting your data, we will notify you without undue delay, describe the breach and protective steps, and cooperate with law enforcement as required.

Updates to This Policy

Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notification, by email if provided, and reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.
