How the Positive Buddy app protects your wellbeing and your privacy
Last updated: 2 June 2026 ยท Publisher: DynamoLabs / Dynatek (Pty) Ltd, South Africa
Positive Buddy is private by design. The app does not transmit or share any personal information. All data you enter (your child's name, age, feelings, journal entries, and any trusted-contact phone numbers) is stored only on your device and is never sent to us or any third party. The app contains no ads and no analytics. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored data.
Positive Buddy uses an on-device SQLite database. Data is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded to any server by us.
| App | Platform | Permission | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| Positive Buddy | Android | NOTIFICATIONS | This is to set the reminders for the two mood check-ins per day. |
There is a "Delete all Data" button within the settings of the app, but you can also just uninstall the app. All data stored in the local database is permanently removed from your device. There is no server to contact and no account to close.
That is it. No databases to scrub. No requests to make. Your data is yours alone.
None of the DynamoLabs apps knowingly collect any information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The apps have no registration, no accounts, and no data transmission beyond what is explicitly described above.
If this policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date above will change. We will never reduce your privacy protections without clear advance notice.
