A genuinely free home workout app for Android: no subscription, no equipment, no internet

Workout is a free Android app that gives you a structured 12-week bodyweight programme you can do at home — no gym, no equipment, no subscription and no internet connection. Most fitness apps charge monthly, ask you to create an account and lock your own history behind a paywall. This one doesn’t.

What “free” means here

Workout is free to download and free to use. There is no premium tier hiding the programme, no trial that expires and no ads. We built it to be useful first, and we think a good tool earns its place by being good.

The 12-week programme

The programme is built to progress with you in three phases:

  • Foundation (weeks 1–3, about 30 minutes a session). Reawaken the body: posture, core stability and movement control.
  • Build (weeks 4–7, about 40 minutes). Load the patterns with progressive strength work across all the major movement groups.
  • Strengthen (weeks 8–12, about 45 minutes). Compound the progress with longer sessions and higher rep targets.

What’s inside

  • Built-in progression. The app tracks how you performed and adjusts your next target automatically.
  • A hands-free guided timer. Start your set and put the phone down; haptic and audio cues guide every rep and rest.
  • Progress you can see. Weekly summaries, 12-week progression charts, training streaks and body-metric trends.
  • Completely offline. Not to start, not to train, not to view your history.

Private by design

There is no user account, no server and no analytics SDK. Everything you log stays on your phone, and you can delete it all from Settings. There is no server that could be breached because there is no server.

Who it isn’t for

Workout is a bodyweight programme. If you want to follow a barbell or machine plan, this isn’t the right tool. If you want to get stronger at home, on your own schedule, without paying or signing up, it is.

Get it

Workout is on Google Play — free. When you’re ready for something else, see our other apps, or if you have an idea for your own app, tell us about it.
